One of our clients is seeking a School Registered Nurse to provide service in Walkersville, MD. The Nurse should be delivering the highest-quality private duty nursing care to help the student live their best lives where they most want to be.
Hours available
The School Nurse for this opportunity will meet the child at home in the morning, accompany the child on the bus to school, stay with the child during the school day and ride the bus daily delivering the child back to their home. Full COVID vaccination is required for this opportunity.
SUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION OF THIS OPPORTUNITY
There are currently two children in need of services beginning 8/17/22.
* Kindergarten student with Cerebral Palsy who will attend Elementary School. Student uses a wheelchair for ambulation, is incontinent of bladder and bowel, has a trach and g-tube and albuterol inhaler as needed.
* 14 year old student with Cerebral Palsy and Seizure Disorder who attends Elementary School. Student uses a wheelchair for ambulation, is incontinent of bladder and bowel, has a trach and g-tube, emergency seizure medication order, and albuterol inhaler as needed.
The above students are very high priority for us to get staffed with nursing. Both will likely ride the school bus.
* Provide nursing care one-on-one, and develop relationships with both clients and team members
* Perform Other duties as assigned
CLIENT'S REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
* Current RN license
* Covid vaccination records
* current CPR card from an in-person class (online cards are not acceptable)
