Our Client is seeking Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to provide care and support within group homes in the
greater Windsor area.
SUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION OF THIS OPPORTUNITY
* Assist with nursing assessments by collecting, reporting, and recording objective data and communicating findings to the Nurse Manager.
* Oversee and ensure proper order and inventory of medications
* Administer medication to resident as needed
* Assist in the development and implemention of residents' plan of care via direction from the RN
* Assist with training of staff and residents
* Complete necessary documentation for client records as needed (e.g. nursing notes, ITP notes, etc.)
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
* Must have current CT LPN license
* Minimum of two (2) years residential or psychiatric experience
* Ability to interact in a professional manner with residents experiencing trauma and behavioral challenges while
respecting appropriate individual and professional boundaries
* Knowledgeable about mental disabilities and geriatric care
* Familiar with federal, state, and regulatory best practice recommendations with respect to de-escalation and
restraint alternatives as well as humane restraint techniques
