Our Client is seeking LPNs to provide service in a group home setting in the Pleasant Valley area.
SUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION OF THIS OPPORTUNITY
* Complete routine health assessments of clients who are admitted into Residential Services; provide individual health education to clients as needed.
* Ensure and oversee the proper ordering and checking in of medications in each program.
* Oversee and ensure compliance with the Medication Administration Program (MAP) procedures and regulations.
* Administer medications to clients as needed.
* Communicate with staff and providers regarding health concerns of clients
* Complete necessary documentation for client records as needed (e.g. nursing notes, ITP notes, etc.)
* Continue to maintain and develop own professional competency.
* Carry the nursing on-call phone and field nursing calls
* Review and update medical policies and procedures as needed.
CLIENT'S REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
* Current NY LPN license
* Minimum of one (1) year of residential or psychiatric experience
* Familiar with federal, state, regulatory, and best practice recommendations with respect to de-escalation and restraint alternatives as well as humane restraint techniques.
