Our clients are currently seeking a Special Education Aide in the Cromwell area that will provide aide and support to children with emotional and behavioral disabilities in various settings including intermediate units, public, private, and charter schools.
We have immediate assignments available for summer school and the school year!
AVAILABLE HOURS
* Monday- Friday: usually 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
* No weekends
SUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION OF TEACHER AIDE OPPORTUNITY
* Provide support and assistance to teachers by helping students with challenges outlined in their IEP assessment: ages 3-21 years old.
* Work one on one with students to ensure a safe, nurturing, and academically stimulating environment.
* Provide students with goal-oriented support that fosters independence and the ability to display socially acceptable behaviors in the school environment.
* Monitor student's change in moods and/or behaviors.
* Write case notes indicating student's daily progress.
* Ensure that diversity and commonality are valued.
CLIENT'S REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
* Experience proving support to children with autism, behavioral challenges, or intellectual and developmental disabilities
* Minimum of a High School Diploma or its equivalency
* Ability to complete and pass clearances: FBI, Child Abuse (ACT 126), and Criminal
* Must be able to produce or obtain current medical/health documents including: physical examination, Tuberculosis/TB Skin Test, CPR, and First Aid
