Our Client is seeking a Direct Support Professional to provide support and instruction to persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities within a group home or facility in the San Antonio area.
SUMMARY OF THIS OPPORTUNITY
* Promote intellectual, emotional, and social growth.
* Ensure all activities are designed to foster growth to each individual's highest level of accomplishment.
* Ensure all care and services are delivered in a climate of normalization, care, and concern.
* Assist Consumers with daily nutrition and their medications.
* Transport Consumers to appointments (as needed)
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
*Valid Driver's License
*Minimum of one (1) year experience working with the DDD population
*High School Diploma or GED
*One year of prior experience as a direct care staff in a residential treatment center
serving children in a child welfare system is preferred
