Our client in Washington, DC is seeking several School Licensed Pratical Nurses to provide full-time clinical support and care. The Nurse must be DC licensed.
CLIENT'S HOURLY RATE
* $40/hr+ client compensation rate is dependent on Contractor's experience, availability, and skills
SUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION OF THIS OPPORTUNITY
* Provide comprehensive school health nursing services to school-age children
* Community outreach, parent and care giver education, general nutrition, wellness education as well as immunizations
* Service as a health resource for educators and administrators
* Rotate between assigned schools as needed/required
* Organize nursing activities for the day, including vision and hearing screening, clinical assessment of health conditions, and referrals
* Appraise and address the needs of the general student population, students with chronic and acute health problems, and special education students with unique or complex needs
CLIENT'S REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
* Active Licensed Practical Nurse licensed in District of Columbia (upon start)
* Minimum of an A.A. graduate from an approved school of nursing (BSN preferred)
* One (1) year Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) experience in community health, ambulatory care, school health or other related fields (preferred)
